Flow measurement in open channels

By associating a level measurement to velocity measurements, the flow is obtained by adding of flows in each elementary phase of heaved section.
A complete installation is made of :
- 1 convertor
- 1 or 2 level detector
- 1 to 8 path to measure the speed

Installation of probes
The number and the position of probes will depend on :
- the height of the application
- the difference between the lowest and highest level of liquid
- the upstream and downstream particularities on site
- the accuracy required
Advantages and strong points
- Nature of liquid and its temperature does not have any influence on the measurement quality
- Process depends only on the onsite dimensions and the positionning of the probes
- integration on the full length
- huge range of measurement
- can measure very low and very high speed
- tolerate a huge level variation
