\nIn response to this requirement, Ultraflux has developed a solution to measure gas levels<\/strong> in a cavern<\/strong>, which enables monitoring of:<\/p>\n\n- process operations,<\/li>\n
- the financial value of the gas store.
\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nIts operation<\/div>
\nLevels are measured using two tubes situated in a casing that rise to the surface. The casing is made up of a 12″ diameter tube for the upper part and 8″ for the part containing the measuring tubes. These two sections of casing are separated by a plug in order to secure the cavern by isolating it from the surface.
\nThe following two measuring tubes are used:<\/p>\n
\n- A Level tube<\/strong> to measure time relative to level and to identify the reflectors that need to be activated to calculate celerity,<\/li>\n
- A Reflectors tube<\/strong> to discretise the measuring space and to take into account the temperature gradients inside the cavern.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
